Saphir Jewelers, a company created by Mr. Alfonso Viera Rodríguez, founder of the company and precursor of the jewelry industry and trade. He began his activity in the sixties with the opening of his first store on Alfredo L. Jones Street, where he acquired for years the necessary experience to enter one of the most complex and selective sectors that exist in the world of commerce, the High Jewelry and Watchmaking.
Later, it added new centers to its network of stores, entering as a pioneer in the south of Gran Canaria, having more than six stores open in that expanding area, today consolidated as one of the most important tourist areas in Spain.
For all these reasons, in 1976 he made the big leap to the highest level in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, acquiring a store on the most emblematic street in the city, beginning at that time to exploit the brand. SAPHIR JOYEROS. Following the necessary expansion to have representation in all the important cities of the Canary archipelago, in 1980 it acquired a store in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, establishing itself in the best commercial area of the city.
Given the growth experienced by the company and the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with the opening of El Corte Inglés in the Mesa y López area, Saphir undertakes, once again, the challenge of opening another highly prestigious establishment in the city.
In 2000, the company's founder's most ambitious project was inaugurated, the most modern and important luxury establishment for the group. He building Saphir located on Calle Mayor de Triana, this being the reflection of the effort for quality and the exquisite image that Saphir Jewelers Has kept. It is currently the company's headquarters.
In 2002, after the death of the founder and following the same guidelines that have made this company so important, the successors have continued their expansion work, both in numbers and image, renovating establishments and opening new sales points.
Currently Group Saphir has four establishments and Online Store dedicated exclusively to the world of luxury in the jewelry and watch sector.
